Mudd's Women
After depleting the ships energy saving the occupants of another ship, the Enterprise must hurry to a mining facility to replenish their supply while dealing with criminal Harry Mudd and his precious cargo.
This episode is about space prostitutes. And it's pretty blatant and obvious, and it's kind of surprising that this got onto 1960s television. But it's a really entertaining episode! The episode introduces Harry Mudd, who the Enterprise saves at the cost of the ship's energy supply. The Enterprise makes an agreement with a mining colony to resupply their reserves, but Mudd circumvents Kirk, and then the only thing the miners are interested in is trading for the women. This leads to a ticking clock scenario for the Enterprise as it hangs underpowered in the atmosphere of the planet.
Overall it's a good episode, but it's a bit troubling as it seems like the women are content with their being bartered.
