What I Watched 10/12-11/1/2015

4 Classic Westerns: Whispering Smith

Passion - It's not DePalma's best. It's alright, but there are moments are Rachel McAdams is awful and moments where she is great. It's interesting and one of DePalma's better recent films. But it isn't as good as Snake Eyes.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - it's a very well made movie but it doesn't really connect with me. I'd call it Fincher's worst movie.

Lincoln - it's kind of an amazing film. Well made and well acted. I liked it a lot.

Bram Stoker's Dracula - it's better from a technical standpoint than in terms of story. Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins carry the movie. The new blu-ray looks good though.

Jurassic World- dumb fun. It's flawed but entertaining.

Detroit Rock City - it's not a great movie but it's fun if you like Kiss.

Enter the Dragon - the new bluray looks a lot better than the original disc. It has a more film like quality and the colors seem to pop more.

Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein - I think I like this more as I get older. It seems like it's something that shouldn't work but it does.

Vampire Hunter D - I used to watch this all the time in middle and high school, but I don't know if it really holds up that well. The new bluray looks good, but I did miss the old Streamline dub track.

Stanley Kramer Film Collection - The Wild One, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner - both are good, but GWCTD was funnier than I thoght it would be. Spencer Tracy was really good in the movie. I liked it a lot.

Archer Season 3 eps 1-10
Not Pictured:
After Porn Ends
Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill
Nathan for You Season 1 eps 1&2 - I'm going back and watching the episodes I missed on Hulu. The bit in the first episode where H. Jon Benjamin is feeding Nathan lines during the job interview had me in tears.
Daredevil season 1 eps 1&2 - I am enjoying it so far. Much better than the problematic Agents of Shield.
